Mosquitoes are bad

They offered me bike assembler which, pro, would let me hide in the back room by myself all night, but, con, imagine it wouldn't fix any of the hour or pay/benefit issues.

I am not good at lying to people, so work offering me a new position when I'm not planning on coming back after vacation made for an awkward conversation. I think I successfully spun it but failed to mask my horror when she asked.

I dunno if the loot tables changed but I went months without getting any of the emissary cache mounts other than the Army of Light ones, and then I finally got the Dreamrunner a couple weeks ago, and this week I got every single other one except for the Highmountain moose :v

WT is gone and I'm not really feeling the community-at-large here anymore. Between that, the Kieran thing and just generally missing the old crew I'm back on Twitter so current plan is to leave the inanity and the promotional stuff more for over there and friendlock this account to use it more for the personal stuff and/or things I don't want potential employers to see. So I'll see how it shakes out; the differences Masto offers and the people I found here are still important to me too and I want to maintain a presence but I just need to change how I'm interacting with it.

So I know how the movie ends, and I'm doubling down on Avengers 4 being based on/titled Secret Wars, with Thanos and his rock collection filling in the role of a Beyonder-powered Doom

It's on Steam and I've had it on my wishlist forever but even for like $2.50 I've never been able to bring myself to pull the trigger and revisit it.

Just thinking of this tonight: there's an old RTS called Impossible Creature, you collect DNA from various animals and your units are made up from taking that and combining them into new hybrid creatures; shark-scorpion, tiger-eagle, etc. You can name these units but initially it will automatically just combine the two animals' names. So when you combine a cockroach and a lobster, it defaults to

The Cockrobster.

For those following along with the saga of Traci's blood pressure, it's not only down from where it was but tonight marks the first time, probably ever, where it's down into the "normal" range of the hypertension chart.

(and when I say for the hell of I do mean I am not even remotely qualified this was just a way to kill five minutes)

I just dumped an application on some Vox openings for the hell of it, and their form has a preferred pronoun field :v

I am basically relearning how to ride a bike. It's not too bad but when I go to stop quick I am grasping at non-existent brake cables.

The weirdest thing about the entire original Monster Mash album is the multiple tracks where Bobby Pickett references "Janos" which near as I have ascertained is meant to be Janos Rukh, Karloff's character from the Invisible Ray, and it is so bizarre to me from this side of the 20th century to hear it casually peppered in alongside the more immediately-recognizable horror staples like Dracula and Frankenstein. Never been sure if that was the result of a cultural shift or Pickett just being a horror nerd.
